'Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko' Announces Additional Cast and Staff [Update 07/10]

The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Roy's fantasy light novel series Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko (By the Grace of the Gods) revealed additional cast, staff, and the first key visual on Friday. The anime will premiere in October 2020.

Eliaria Jamil: Kuwahara Yuuki (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon)
Reinhart Jamil: Daisuke Ono (Somali to Mori no Kamisama)
Miya: Marika Kouno (Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni.)
Gain: Motomu Kiyokawa (Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?)
Lulutia: Kikuko Inoue (Aa! Megami-sama!)
Kufo: Koichi Makoto (Ishuzoku Reviewers)
Ryoma Takebayashi: Hiroki Yasumoto (Hoozuki no Reitetsu)
Tabuchi: Makoto Furukawa (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen)

The new cast will star alongside Azusa Tadokoro (Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai), who's playing the protagonist Ryouma.

Previously announced staff at animation studio Maho Film include director Takeyuki Yanase (Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni.) and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken) penning the script and handling the series composition.

Roy originally published the novel in July 2015 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website and gained over 250 million views. Hobby Japan pushed the novel into print in September 2017, featuring illustrations by Ririnra. The eighth volume shipped on February 22. Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko has over 1 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

A manga adaptation by Ranran began its serialization in Square Enix's Manga UP! web magazine in November 2017. The fifth volume was published on April 22.

J-Novel Club and Square Enix respectively licensed the light novel and manga in English in November 2019. The third volume of the light novel was shipped on May 31, with the fourth volume set to be published on August 30. The first volume of the manga adaptation is scheduled for release on November 10.
