'Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu' Reveals Cast, Production Staff

The official website of the Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) television anime revealed cast, additional staff, and a new key visual (pictured) on Friday. The anime series, originally scheduled for this year, will now premiere in 2021.

Manabu Okamoto (Gamers!, Akame ga Kill! episode director) is helming the anime series at Studio Bind—a joint venture by animation studio White Fox and production company Egg Firm. Kazutaka Sugiyama (The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls design works) is in charge of the character designs. Egg Firm is credited for production.

Mushoku Tensei adapts Rifujin na Magonote's adventure fantasy light novel, which he published on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website between November 2012 and April 2015. Kadokawa began printing the novel with illustrations by Sirotaka under its MF Books label in January 2014 and will ship the 23rd volume on June 25.

Yuka Fujikawa began serializing a manga adaptation in Comic Flapper magazine in May 2014. Kadokawa published the 12th volume on March 23.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English and published the fifth light novel volume on April 14, with the sixth volume planned for release on July 28. The tenth manga volume went on sale on February 25.

The amount of Light Novel and Web Novel who are NOT isekais (or it's cousin, VRMMORPG themed) being serialised nowadays is very diminute. Isekais has been so prevalescent that there was once a contest where the organizers BANNED reincarnated from another world to have some damn variety.

Isekai is the new incestuos imouto/magic school.

Welp, time to the read the LN to prepare.. I guess. I keep on hearing that it's the "grandfather" of isekai... Idk if that's true but hopefully it's worth the hype.

Seeing Mushoku Tensei gets so much love from the adapt-or bring tears to my eyes. Not only do we have a dedicated studio created just for this adaptation, it seemed like all the staff and VAs are carefully handpicked cause all of their voice fits the character. The music composer chosen for this project is just perfect, the atmospheric and open world type of music from Yoshiaki Fujiwasa is top notch.

I am so hyped for this adaptation. Hopefully it will have a successful adaptation and a long running one cause the depths of the story is imho where it shines the most.

High profile voice actresses with plenty of experience - I wonder if Rudy's VA will change as the story progresses.
