Voice Actress Yui Makino Announces Marriage

Musician and voice actress Yui Makino announced her marriage to singer and actor Yutarou Miura on her official website, Instagram, and Twitter on Friday. Regarding the marriage, she admitted that while she finds the thought of being a wife "unreal," she wants to do her best in building a happy family. She wishes she could thank each of her fans individually for their years of support ahead of her 15th anniversary as an artist this August.

Makino began playing piano at the age of 4, and debuted as a solo artist in 2005 when she performed the ending theme for Sousei no Aquarion. She is well known for performing theme and insert songs for the Aria series, including the Aria the Natural opening "Euphoria," her highest charting single with a peak position of 18th on the Oricon Singles Chart.

Her career as a voice actress began in 2005 with her role as Sakura in Tsubasa Chronicle, for which she also performed insert songs, and the following year she played Misaki Nakahara in NHK ni Youkoso!. More recently, she voiced Aroma Kuroso in PriPara and Ririna Sanada in Koi to Uso. She has been represented by the talent agency AMUSE since 2012.

Miura debuted as a singer in 2008 with the band Peaky SALT and went solo in 2011. In 2012, he performed in the stage production Tabidachi: Ashore Yori and began acting in television shows. He is the son of popular singer Momoe Yamaguchi and actor Tomokazu Miura, and in 2017 released a cover album of his mother's music.

TiA had only a couple OP/ED performances and has done nothing anime-related in over a decade, so her marriage isn't newsworthy by our guidelines. As for Okamoto, due to the drama that came to light around the time of his marriage and Oogame's initial desire to keep the marriage private, we decided not to post about it. However, we did mention it in the recent article reporting on Okamoto's health here.

I mean, there have been other articles of seiyuu who haven't been active (or at the very least minorly involved) for like 5+ years getting married

as for Okamoto, it's already out of the bag (even if oogame wanted it to be private they still both formally issued messages about it lel) and nobu had been pretty open about it lately (like on his program with Mafia Kajita) so I don't really see the reason not too, especially with his overall popularity but it is what it is

Oh wow Yui Makino. The sweetest voice amongst all active seiyuu. So much sugar in fact that diabetic peoples should probably be careful when listening to her singing, but anyway, always liked her voice since I discovered her back in Tsubasa chronicle.
