'Kimetsu no Yaiba' Concludes Four-Year Serialization
The issue also announced that Ryouji Hirano (Bozebeats) will draw a short spin-off manga subtitled Rengoku Gaiden. The manga will be serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump.
Synopsis

On a cold winter day, he goes down to the local village in order to sell some charcoal. As dusk falls, he is forced to spend the night in the house of a curious man who cautions him of strange creatures that roam the night: malevolent demons who crave human flesh.
When he finally makes his way home, Tanjirou's worst nightmare comes true. His entire family has been brutally slaughtered with the sole exception of his sister Nezuko, who has turned into a flesh-eating demon. Engulfed in hatred and despair, Tanjirou desperately tries to stop Nezuko from attacking other people, setting out on a journey to avenge his family and find a way to turn his beloved sister back into a human. Gotouge received an honorable mention at the 70th Jump Treasure Newcomer Manga Awards for their Kagarigari one-shot in 2013, which became the prototype for Kimetsu no Yaiba. Weekly Shounen Jump began serializing the manga in February 2016. Shueisha published the 20th volume on May 13 (pictured right), with the 21st volume scheduled for a July 3 release. Kimetsu no Yaiba has a cumulative 60 million copies of its compiled volumes in circulation.
A 26-episode television anime produced by ufotable premiered in Spring 2019. Aniplex of America licensed the anime series and simulcast it on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu. The company will release the anime on two limited edition Blu-rays on June 30 and November 24, and partnered with Funimation to distribute two standard edition Blu-rays in September 2020 and January 2021. The show began airing with an English dub on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block in October 2019.
The Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train) anime film will open in theaters in Japan on October 16. The sequel film will cover the Mugen Ressha-hen (Infinity Train arc, also known as the Demon Train arc), which spans from volume seven to eight. The lead cast members and production staff are returning from the television anime. Toho and Aniplex will distribute the film.
Ryouji Hirano published a two-chapter side story subtitled Tomioka Giyuu Gaiden in Weekly Shounen Jump last April. Hirano also drew a 26-chapter 4-koma spin-off titled Kimetsu no Aima! in Shounen Jump+ between April and September last year.
Aya Yajima (Ao no Exorcist light novel) wrote two novels under the Jump J Books imprint subtitled Shiawase no Hana (Flower of Happiness) and Kataha no Chou (One-Winged Butterfly) in February and October last year, respectively. Yajima will publish a third novel focusing on the Wind Pillar Sanemi Shinazugawa, subtitled Kaze no Michishirube (The Wind's Guidepost), on July 3. The light novels have reached a cumulative circulation of 1.8 million.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in July 2017 and simulpublishes it with the Japanese release in their new Shounen Jump platform. The 12th volume shipped on May 5, with the 13th volume planned for release on June 2. Shueisha's Manga Plus service also began simulpublishing the manga in English last January.
Kimetsu no Yaiba placed sixth in the male readers' division in the 2020 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings. The anime series was voted the best show at the 2019 Newtype Anime Awards and won Animation of the Year in the 2020 Tokyo Anime Awards' television category.

I am also yet to read the ending of the manga (as of writing this, I am up to chapter 192). Although I have heard some "meh" things about it and judging from what I've read so far, I am somewhat worried about it.
Anyways, thanks for Gotouge for giving us this short yet impactful (by that I mean in terms of its popularity) manga and I wish them the very best.

Considering we are talking about a generic male fantasy story here, I assume it has to be a man. Something so superficial and shallow is known to be associated with a lot of mediocre men chasing after popularity and commercial success.
HAHAHA THE FEMALE TO MALE RATIO OF THIS MANGA'S FANBASE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD INFECTED WITH DISGUSTING FUJOS

that's a solid argument, I wouldn't put too much on it honestly, as translation issues happen here and there, as well as typos. I think it would be good to wait for clear confirmation, I guess
(Why is everyone talking about the author's gender in the first place, I guess because it's a mystery, but I'm not completely sure if it's really relevant at the current moment)
Koyoharu-sensei is female as far as I know, I heard that they just don't feel comfortable with gender pronouns and wants to be referred as "them" or "they" or Croc-sensei lol.
I'm not 100% sure though this is just what I saw.

Oh, I am deeply opposed to it, you are right. For how generic it is, having decent graphics made the grey mass lose their minds over it and call it a masterpiece. It is an insult both to me as a viewer and to the actually thorough, outstanding works of art in the industry. Kimetsu no Yaiba is just evidence to how culturally undeveloped the mediocre Japanese animation "fan" still is. My sole solace lies in that maybe the Japanese people are not as enamoured by it.
Just how effective the delusions are, it feels to me the people are willing to be fooled the same way they did during the fascist regimes. Spin offs ARE a definition of "milking" the IP. Just by giving them right (or doing it himself) to make a different story after an already FINISHED one, because it is popular, not because it was something the author wanted to do, the author relinquishes his honour as a creator and becomes complicit in capitalistic circle of greed. I loathe and pity such people.
Your hopes remain unanswered, I never am lowering myself to such a degree to not be serious about art discussion.

That was planned way before it ended and the spin off wont sell even close to how much the original sold, I also don't believe the author is the one that is going draw the spin off.
At the end of the day it is still a money making business and if there is opportunity to make more profit they will strike the iron while it is still hot.
You clearly don't like the series based off the comments I've seen here by you, heck I'm not even a fan of this series but you seem to have a lot of hate towards this series and making ridiculous criticism towards it.

Like everybody here, props to the author for not milking the series till there's nothing left to milk. It gives a proper ending to the original main story, and is releasing spin-offs. I believe that's an excellent thing to do.

Too bad the spin-off was announced. Here goes all the praise for not "milking" the IP. Oh well, humiliation is a healthy practice.

He isn't trolling. He proclaims himself as the righteous anime fan as he self-proclaims about his superior taste.
It's more hope due to the amount of dumb takes he has on here.

I presume the author is a man because if you go to manga plus app they had interview with the author Editor and the editor referred the author as *HE* that was enough for me to pick up the hint that the author was male everyone was just assuming it was female based on their judgement if I'm wrong I'm sorry but that's what I saw when I read the interview on manga plus they referred the author as he if she was female then they'd have referred to her and *SHE* OR *HER*
that's a solid argument, I wouldn't put too much on it honestly, as translation issues happen here and there, as well as typos. I think it would be good to wait for clear confirmation, I guess
