That's like the 8 idolmaster voice actress in row to announce marriage . Is it some idol thing where they can't annouce they are married for certain amount of time

Idols can't form romantic relationships or get married and must get permission from their agency to do that.
That's too much strictness.

Goodness, is it marriage season in Japan or something?

January typically is marriage season, and December is generally divorce season in Japan, partly due to taxation technicalities.

Oh that's interesting! So that's why we are seeing marriage announcements now.
Thanks for that bit of trivia.

I still don't understand why these things are newsworthy? Fair enough they announce them to their followers on social media. But why news?

I assume the "reporters" operate under the pretense that what is important to the average (read: generic, ordinary) Japanese is of importance outside as well. Such things as celebrity marriages are important in Japan because then for quite some the "pure" actress/actor might lose their glean and become someone's (else's) thing.

Which is why every such news, here or there, is followed by a necessary addition: "Is of/ is not of the celebrity industry". In short, quite a repugnant tendency. But a system in Japan.
