Main Voice Cast of 'Adachi to Shimamura' Unveiled

The Dengeki Bunko Aki no Namahousou Festival event revealed the main cast members for the previously announced Adachi to Shimamura (Adachi and Shimamura) television anime on Sunday. The anime adaptation of Hitoma Iruma's yuri light novel series will debut on TBS in 2020.

Sakura Adachi: Akari Kitou (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e, Kimetsu no Yaiba)
Hougetsu Shimamura: Miku Itou (5-toubun no Hanayome, BanG Dream!)

Iruma began penning the series in Dengeki Bunko Magazine in October 2012, 1.5 years after ending his Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko (Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl) light novel. Kadokawa has been publishing the novel through its Dengeki Bunko imprint since March 2013, featuring illustrations by Nozomi Ousaka (Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!). The eighth volume shipped on May 10.

A manga adaptation by Mani ran in Gangan Online from 2016-2017. Square Enix published the manga in three volumes. Illustrator Moke Yuzuhara launched a second manga adaptation in Dengeki Daioh's July 2019 issue on May 27.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel in English on September 18 and plans to release the first volume on June 2, 2020.

It is a TBS production, so the probabilities of this been 2 cour are close to zero. That, and it is a shoujo-ai.... Series like this don’t tend to last long; 12-13 episodes max.

I only said that because, if anyone remembers Strawberry Panic! they'll know it was a LN adaptation and that one was two-course, so I just assumed this one was too, sorry bout that..

Their twitter account has gained so many followers (almost 9000) and it hasn't been a day yet. The hype is real.

Giving more roles for Kitou Akari, I'm pleased :) I'm not familiar with Itou Miku, but I'm sure she'll do fine.

I'm interested in the rest of the staff, but this already sounds promising.
