Multimedia Project 'Futsal Boys!!!!!' Unveiled

Bandai Namco Arts, Bandai Namco Entertainment, and Diomedea are working together to produce a multimedia project based on the sport futsal. Titled Futsal Boys!!!!!, the project will include an anime, a mobile application, and futsal games played between the cast members that will determine the story.

Synopsis
In a world where futsal is popular sport globally, high school student Haru Yamato watches the World Cup and becomes inspired by the player Tokinari Tenouji. He joins Koyo Academy's futsal team in hope of becoming a player like Tenouji. Yamato encounters friends and foes alike in his quest to be the best.

Thank you anime for teaching me about sports I didn't even know existed.

I thought this was just a huge typo and thought they meant football lol but futsal is an actual sport. I know 0 about it, so looking forward to seeing how this anime portrays it.

I am really excited about this. I always liked playing soccer in a hall instead of on an open field. Let’s see when the Anime comes out :)

I hope to God sports anime would not degrade itself into just another fujoshi medium where it's about the hot, young, sexy and sweaty boys instead of the sports. Not against pretty boys myself, in fact I welcome them, but writers tend to get lazy and go a little too far on the laziness by having the art carry the spirit of the show.

It seems so. They have their team uniforms ready.

It's a multimedia project, anime, app game and real-life matches (possibly as events) are all linked. It's not yet clear how they will work them together. This makes it new and unique, it's trying to be different than shounen sports. I'm baffled why someone in comments thinks otherwise.

In an age where animes try to be different in any single way possible, it's good to see one that doesn't try to be. Also, I find the idea really interesting that the voice actors themselves will play the football in real life aswell, it surely gives alot less feeling that everything is already determined. I will check it out.

I love them! Nice looking key visual and boys in uniforms. Their manager is a cutie. I can't wait to see more teams, each is chara designed by a different illustrator (Ogeretsu Tanaka omg) and I expect great things.
