Manga Author Shuuichi Asou Announces Marriage
Manga author Shuuichi Asou announced on Twitter on Wednesday that he had gotten married to Dempagumi.inc idol Mirin Furukawa. Furukawa also made the announcement during the "UHHA! YAAA!! TOUR!!! 2019 SPECIAL" concert in Tokyo.
Asou, who is notable for creating the supernatural comedy manga Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan, posted an illustration (pictured) along with the announcement to celebrate the occasion.
Asou's Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan was irregularly serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump in 2011 and those chapters were compiled into Volume 0. The series became a regular addition to the magazine from the 24th 2012 issue, and it ended in July of last year with 26 compiled volumes.
Dempagumi.inc performed the opening theme "Sai Ψ Sai Kouchou" and the ending theme "Ψ desu I LIKE YOU" for the first season of J.C.Staff and Egg Firm's Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan TV adaptation. They also performed the second season's ending theme "Ψ Hakkenden!"
