FUNA began penning the comedy fantasy novel, also known by its short name Noukin, on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in January 2016, garnering over 260 million views. Earth Star Entertainment has been publishing the series with illustrations by Itsuki Akata (Dragon Crisis!) since May 2016. The 11th volume went on sale on July 16. Noukin has a cumulative 550,000 copies of its volumes in print.

Nekomint launched a manga adaptation on the Comic Earth☆Star website in August 2016. Taibundo published the third compiled volume last June.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English in September 2017. The seventh light novel volume was published digitally on July 11 and has a planned November 5 physical release. The third manga volume shipped on May 21.

I've been reading the manga for this and it's interesting. Definitely will watch this. I will probably read the LN as well if I have time.

YESSS! This is one of my favorite series of all time.

It has to be one of the best "lack of common sense" isekai stories ever told.

The cast looks good. I am so hyped for the anime.

The novel is amazing; the manga doesn't do it justice. I hope the anime can do a better job than the manga.

I'm quite excited. A female isekai protagonist!

In fact, this work is not much different from what you would expect from the connection CGDCT and fantasy. If you so need Isekai with a female protagonist, then I would be better advised to wait for Bakarina with her Otome Game.

I'm aware that the director left Doga Kobo sometime ago, but seeing him here is pretty nice. I do entrust in his abilities with this series.

With that being said the PV looks like the series is going to be very fun despite taking the Isekai setting. Then again, Isekai stuff are usually welcomed by me x3

Oh, it's also airing in Autumn like Honzuki, I was wondering when that one was going to air~
Two isekai with girl protag in the same season? That's a rare one and we get two at the same time, what is happening right now~ ;o.

There's 5 Isekai LN adaptations with female mc, with two of those coming now.

why tf Masahiko Oota is at project No.9 now o_o

He is not a studio-exclusive director. So nothing strange of him working for a different studio this time.

Jul 25, 2019 6:47 AM by Nachtwandler_21

For a moment I was scared to see that Project No.9 would do it, a studio that has only done boring animes and especially with lolicon content D:
But then I saw that the director was Oota Masahiko who did yuru yuri, Sabage-bu!, Himouto! Umaru-chan and Gabriel Dropout and then I said OH YEAH! this man is right for the job.
