'Berserk' Returns from Hiatus
The manga has been serialized in Young Animal since 1989, and Hakusensha printed the 40th volume on September 28. The manga has received multiple anime adaptations, including a 25-episode TV anime in 1997 by studio OLM, a theatrical trilogy by Studio 4°C, and a 2016 anime with 3DCG visuals produced by Millepensee and GEMBA, which continued in Spring 2017.
Dark Horse licensed the manga in English and published the 39th volume on July 24 last year. Crunchyroll licensed the latest anime adaptation for North American distribution, and released the first season in January 2018.

I don't even read this but I won't lie when I saw the word 'Berserk' in the news section for a moment I was scared they're making another shitty cgi anime adaption for it.
Glad I wasn't the only one.

Welcome back, pacing of hell!
As long as Berserk generates money, it will certainly continue. The loss in quality over the time is unprecedented, and the indifference on the mangaka's part towards his own series is quite evident.
I think this is kind of an unfair statement, Miura's art is insanely detailed so he definitely wouldn't spend so much time and effort on drawing something he's indifferent about. I hate hiatuses as much as the next person but I understand that he has his own personal life, being a mangaka is really time-consuming and he's been writing Berserk for 20+ years so if taking breaks is what it takes for him to keep it going then I'm just glad he still writes it.
As for the loss in quality, I think it might have to do with him incorporating elements he finds interesting at different points in his life into his main work (e.g. magical elements, pirates etc etc), given that Berserk has become a life project for him. Not saying I love all his choices obviously lol, I just think this is a plausible explanation.

Berserk and any words that imply coming back dont go together and are comical.

[...]That said, days of Berserk greatness are long gone.
Yep. Almost two decades. ;)

Why would he marry her? would he gain anything at all(since this is the motivation for all his actions)

Chapter 365 until now has switched focus to Griffith, so I presume it's building up to the marriage scene between him and Charlotte.
Why would he marry her? would he gain anything at all(since this is the motivation for all his actions)

The story looks so uninteresting on the latest chapters.

The story looks so uninteresting on the latest chapters.
We have the cliffhanger of what happened with Casca and her recovery, which I am sure many are looking forward to. However, it's also interesting to see what is going on in the current world, where time is going at a faster pace than on the elf island. I think that the story is still interesting - the buildup to Charlotte marrying Griffith, and more importantly (at the moment), seeing the tactics that Griffith is using on the battlefield.
I find it very interesting to see how eagerly people accepted the monsters on the battlefield, despite them being horrific and still dangerous to humans. Personally, I would like to see where they go, and more development on Griffiths aspect. In addition to this, it's interesting to see how many monsters are fighting instead of humans. I wonder if Griffith will allow them to live with human society after the war is finished.
Certainly not an uninteresting story - we get to see what is going on in the 'real' world.

Just end this and HxH already
Also Detective conan and ippo
All 4 of them are dragging on for many years
its why i stopped reading ippo conan and hxh
and why i never started reading berserk xD
It's sad to think some people will have died waiting for the next chapter, especially in the boat hiatus...

at this point I'm only interested in Miura finishing the manga, it does not matter if it's a good or bad ending, only interested in having it finished once and for all

Wish we're return to the Casca and Guts stuff instead of Griffith walking around.
