Winners of the 2019 Tokyo Anime Awards Announced

Winners of the Tokyo Anime Awards for 2019 have been announced. There was a winner to best art, color, and film honorary achievement award, but the person has rejected to receive it this year.

Sure Detective Conan Movie is chosen as animation movie of the year, not Maquia or Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai? Why Japan?
Instead Zero The Enforcer is not the best enough among other DC movie in previous years...
So next year what...don't tell me that is LL Sunshine Movie...

it was actually very good movie for the franchise imho... it cramming what i like from this series when giving interesting mysteries too... maquia while it's good, the character has no wide appeal and the story sort of ambiguity that's not something left much of impact... and kimi no suzu adaptation is lacking in perspective play the novel/manga mastered (which actually the only outstanding part of this series). so yeah, i wouldn't said it won because it masterpiece, but it still much better than the others.

personal rant, actually, i prefer "i sold my life for 10000 yen" than "i want to eat your pancreas" as movie.

Heck yeah Banana Fish!! Im happy BF got the attention it deserved. I just dont understand how Zombieland got best animation award when they used pretty bad cgi in their dances lol. Karakuri Circus would be good for animation award and the small amount of CGI isnt even bad it goes with the whole creepy creepy vibe. I dont like when people compare yuri on ice to banana fish because they are whole different anime about different things. BF isnt even considered yaoi? Its more then that it shows the harsh reality of the real world. And is a great thriller

I'll never understand Yuri on Ice's popularity. Never. It's like a typical, cliche Shoujo romance, but with a gay couple. Oh well. I still say Banana Fish deserved better for many reasons, but congrats to the winner nonetheless.

Conan's still airing? I know it's a super long runner like Doraemon and Sazae-san, but I thought that anime would've ended by now.

Maybe it's just me but I totally don't get what is so good about ZS. But yes Mamoru did a good job as tatsumi's VA (that to me was the best thing about ZS).
