The official Twitter account for seiyuu Yuuka Aisaka announced that she will be back to both voice acting and singing. A live for May 18 was also decided. She entered a hiatus last July due to a problem with her throat. She also left a written message thanking everyone for the wait.

Aisaka has been interested in anime since the Cardcaptor Sakura series. She used to want to become a mangaka, but she decided to become a seiyuu because she is more suitable for acting. She studied voice acting at Tokyo Visual Arts and entered Seiyuu Agency Apto Pro. Her first voice role was Miumi Hinata from the Ange Vierge franchise, which later received a TV anime adaptation in Summer 2016. Her first TV anime role was Kotone Noda from Sakura Trick. She also voiced Gingitsune from the Kemono Friends series, Masaki from Mayoiga, Aika Tsube from Ore Twintail ni Narimasu, Sayaka Ogata from the Sword Gai: The Animation series, and more. As a singer, she debuted performing the Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hachi Gakari ending theme song and later also sung the series' ending theme song for its second season. She also sang the Net-juu no Susume ending theme song and the Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch II - Handou insert song under her own name before her hiatus. She has also performed various theme songs as her characters, including the unit L.I.N.K.s from the Ange Vierge franchise. The staff members of Aisaka, including her manager, have been updating her Twitter account while she took rest.

Great news!

Even though I hardly know any of her roles, it’s nice to see a dedicated Seiyuu back at her job! It must’ve been a rough year for her, but here’s to hoping everything works out for her eventually.
