Manga 'Jimoto ga Japan' Gets TV Anime Adaptation
The Weekly Shounen Jump booth at the Jump Festa 2019 event announced a TV anime adaptation of Seiji Hayashi's Jimoto ga Japan (I'm From Japan) manga on Saturday, scheduled for an April 2019 premiere. More information will be revealed in the future issues of Weekly Shounen Jump magazine.
Synopsis
There's a new tough guy transfer student in Tokyo. His name is Tokio and he's raring to see how scrappy the locals are. But when he comes face-to-face with a Japan-obsessed red-haired kid that won't leave him alone until he tells him exactly what prefecture he's from, his life takes a turn for the crazy! This kid isn't just Japan obsessed, he's developed a martial art based on all the different prefectures in the country! (Source: VIZ Media)
Hayashi launched the comedy slice of life manga in this year's 42nd issue of Weekly Shounen Jump on September 15. Shueisha will publish the first volume on January 4, 2019.
VIZ Media published the first three chapters of the manga in English simultaneously with the Japanese release in its digital Weekly Shonen Jump magazine as a part of its Jump Start initiative.

Never thought that only a 3 month old wsj series will get anime so early
What's exactly the reason for this?

It'll probably be a 2 minutes episode anime or so, but at least it confirms the manga's safe state.

Man, and I thought The Promised Neverland and Dr. Stone were being adapted too early. lol
I'm not sure if I'll watch this, but we'll see.
Seems pretty legit. :P

This has to be one of the fastest manga to get anime. That's definitely the case on WSJ since it has like 15 chapters and the first volume isn't even out.
