Light Novel 'Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou!' Gets Anime Adaptation
MF Books Editorial Twitter account has announced on Friday that Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou! light novel's anime project is in production. The writer Y.A released a comment and the illustrator Choko Fuji released an illustration celebrating the announcement (shown).
Synopsis
Shingo Ichinomiya, a 25-year-old man working at a firm company, while thinking of tomorrow's busy working day, goes to sleep. However, when he woke up, he found himself in a room unknown to him and realized that he is inside a 6-years-old body, taking over his body and mind. He soon learns from the memories of the boy that the boy was born as the youngest child of a poor noble family living in a back country. Having no administrative skill, he can't do anything to manage the vast land his family has. Fortunately, he is blessed with a very rare talent, the talent of magic. Unfortunately, while his talent could bring prosperity to his family, in his situation it only brought disaster. This is the story of the boy, Wendelin Von Benno Baumeister, opening his own path in a harsh world. (Source: MyAnimeList, edited)

Not quite. While he starts off as a 6-year-old there are several timeskips in the story.
Also expect POLITICS. Lots of fantasy/isekai politics. Escpacially since for once the nobility in this isekai is NOT rotten to the core, unlike most fantasy/isekai and even the king is actually competent in this one. Heck, even the church is actually NOT some evil demonic or corrupt cult and also does NOT become an antagonist. It's really a breath of fresh air in many aspects.
I think this probably has one of the most adaptable protagonists as well, as he does NOT try to force "glorious Nippon cultural values" onto his new world. He still does invent and sell some things he re-creates from the modern world, but it's quite subdued and not some grand reform of the country or anything. He's also somewhat OP, but you hardly notice that because aside from the first few arcs, the problems he has to face mostly cannot be solved with violence.
Well, I usually hate politics, but I’m ready to accept it if the author uses it for reflection, and not to impose any ideologies.
