New 'Ghost in the Shell' Anime to Release in 2020

The official website for Production I.G has announced more information to the previously announced new anime adaptation to Ghost in the Shell franchise co-directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed Saga Ex Machina). Titled Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, Production I.G and Sola Digital Arts will be producing the anime together in full 3DCG, and will be streamed via Netflix in 2020 worldwide except mainland China. More information will also be revealed via the second and third 2019 combined issue of Weekly Shounen Young Magazine released on December 10.

Full cgi if done right can be fantastic (see the last Appleseed movie) or shitty (see the Appleseed tv series). I reserve judgement until I actually see an episode.

If they hired such a mediocre tracer as the lead designer you probably can tell how low were their standarts when making this series. BTW, his Motoko looks like Ayanami Rei (temporary name) in her black plugsuit.

I'll keep an eye on this, as much I personally wish to hope to be a continuation of this franchise, it's likely going to end up as the following:

1. A trash tier reboot with forced diversity as a plot element which makes absolutely no sense for the over all story in general and deviates from the original creators idea.

2. Done with the intentions of Netflix pushing for $$$$, clearly going against the creator's wishes, simply because something else (looking at you GITS the movie that one was a big no no) obviously we need to stop this reboot-meta as they don't work. I've yet to see a decent one actually be good.

It doesn't seem like there's more new info. released via the official magazine site and Ghost in the Shell site like it is indicated on Moca News... Correct me if I'm wrong as I don't obtain the physical magazine.
