'High Score Girl' Gets OVA Episodes

The official Twitter account of J.C.Staff's High Score Girl posted an announcement video on Friday that reveals that the series will get three OVA episodes. The OVAs will streamed on Netflix in March 2019. The announcement was also made after the series' final episode that aired today.

Rensuke Oshikiri penned High Score Girl in Big Gangan from October 2010 to September 2018; compiling into ten volumes. The manga entered hiatus when it received a copyright violation for featuring characters from games without proper permission, which also delayed its anime adaptation that was initially announced in December 2013.

The anime will be available on Netflix outside of Japan in December.

Finding out that we're getting any new episodes of this series at all is music to my ears.

From my understanding, season 1 covers manga chapters 1 to 27. Then, the OVA covers chapter 28 to 33 (from what I saw on the trailer).

There's a total of 62 chapters of manga, of which only 51 have been translated so far. That leaves about 30 chapters of material for a second season.

If the reception of season 1 and OVA is positive on Netflix, I have hopes for season 2 to wrap things up !

Oh man😧 and here i thought we would get a second season. Well if they do make a second that would be awesome. Ova is acceptable i guess

I NEED A RESOLUTION!!!

Hopefully these will be just as good as the Relife OVA. (Just hope we don't have to wait as long)

so what information do we have on the round 13-15? and are we getting season 2 because there is more that has yet to be covered on the anime?

It ended on quite the cliffhanger. Let us hope these OVAs can offer some resolution.

I have yet to catch up and finish it but hey I thought this series is pretty good for those that are gaming geeks and retro fans x3 Hue.

Great to hear this! I hope it’ll provide more closure to the story as I suspect the finale episode might just not quench my mood.
I’m very much looking forward to seeing the finale episode now!
