'Gintama' Ends Fifteen-Year Serialization
This year's 38th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump magazine announced on Monday that Hideaki Sorachi's adventure comedy manga Gintama will end in five chapters, including the chapter published in the issue. The series will end its 15-year run in the magazine's 42nd issue on September 15.
Gintama began serialization in 2003 and has consistently ranked among the top-selling manga over the years. Shueisha published the 74th volume on August 3, with the 75th volume planned for a October 4 release. The series has over 55 million copies of its compiled volumes in circulation.
Prior to receiving a full anime series, a special episode produced by Sunrise was featured at the Jump Festa Anime Tour in September 2005. The first anime season premiered in Spring 2006 and ran for 201 episodes until Winter 2010, followed by six more seasons airing between 2011 and 2018. The manga also inspired two anime film adaptations that opened in 2010 and 2013, among several OVA episodes. The second cours of the final season premiered on July 9.
A live-action film adaptation produced by Warner Bros. Pictures premiered in July 2017, grossing over 4.6 billion yen. A sequel film premiered last Friday. The first film screened in the United States and Canada earlier this January, and was subsequently released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 6.
Sentai Filmworks released the first 49 episodes and the first anime film between 2010 and 2012 on DVD and Blu-ray discs, respectively. Crunchyroll re-licensed the anime series and released episodes 266-291 through Funimation on March 27. The second part of the release containing episodes 292-316 is scheduled to be released on September 25.
VIZ Media began publishing the series in English under its Shounen Jump Advanced imprint in 2007 before the release was discontinued with the 23rd volume in 2011. The manga has also been localized in multiple foreign languages.

So, only One Piece remains and once that is over (read: once Oda dies), Shonen Jump will bite the dust.
It just switched magazines. It will resume serialization in JUMP GIGA this winter.

It always saddens me to say Good Bye to an Anime or a Manga that I have completely fallen in love with. With "falling in love" I mean that I have tried to buy every manga that is translated in english since I can not read japanese, though all the years of watching anime has made me understand spoken japanese & speak it myself.
Though I have a HUGE habit of speaking in the way they do in Shounen anime wich is riddled with slang and a very "uncivilised" way of speaking, as a woman I sound quite "rough","KAKKOI!" or "like a Yakuza!" to quote a friend who got married n lived in Japan for some years. But I have gotten positive reactions from a japanese woman running a sushi shop that my japanese is quite good for being self-taught just watching subbed anime since Dattebayo subbed Naruto, the rest is history.
Continuing on my feelings about Gintama and it´s interesting storytelling!
Gintama has grown on me since I started watching the anime recently, from 1st to the current 90th episode, I ALWAYS watch a whole series,no matter how many seasons it has and I will do the same with Gintama! In case people are wondering..
Since reading that the english translated manga stopped after 12 volumes made me quite frustrated! Having seen this happen to other manga suddenly stopping with no explanation. Since I have no idea of being able to read the rest of the Mammoth of a manga series that is Gintama.
What also irks me is the non-consistent releases of the anime series! It´s a complete mess! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!!
