The official website of Gessan magazine announced a TV anime adaptation of Mitsuru Adachi's baseball manga Mix on Friday. The anime will premiere in Spring 2019. More information will be revealed on the manga's official Twitter account at a later date.

Synopsis
Taking place 30 years after the events of Touch, the story centers on two brothers. Tachibana Souichiro is the star second year catcher for Meisei Middle School's baseball, and Touma is the third baseman with the golden arm. The pair is joined by sister Otomi, now a middle school first year. With an apathetic coach and unmotivated ace, how will the brothers handle the remainder of their middle school life, and what awaits them in high school? (Source: Mangahelpers, edited)

Mix has been serialized in monthly Gessan magazine since May 2012, which has over 7.5 million copies of its compiled volumes in circulation. Shogakukan plans to publish the 13th volume on August 9.

Adachi's Touch baseball manga ran in Shounen Sunday from 1981 to 1986, and compiled into 26 volumes. The manga received an anime adaptation in 1985, followed by a special and three anime films. A live-action film also opened in Japan in 2005.

They might choose to adapt it partly and then never touch it again forcing you to read the manga like with H2.
I have the same concern sadly. I wasn't too happy with them announcing an adaptation so soon. Been losing interest as the months go on tbh.

Have had the same problem..... At first most of the chapters were 50 or so pages as you'd expect with a monthly released manga. However later on the chapters had less and less content going from 30 pages to sometimes even just 18 pages. Because of that Adachi has been forced to skip a lot and the one thing Adachi is an absolute masterclass at are those small details. Mix right now is just not at the level which Adachi is capable of writing and it's not because he's not able to anymore, he just doesn't have the chance sadly.

Been keeping up with the manga and honestly I've found that Touch is much better. The manga being monthly released with only 18-30 pages has really hurt this manga and forced Adachi to fastforward and skip a lot whereas in his other manga's he would dictate a lot of time to small character progression and things like that. He doesn't have the luxary to do that with Mix. Nonetheless I'm looking forward to another Adachi Mitsuru anime. I'm afraid this will end up like the H2 adaption though..... the manga isn't done and the ending is nowhere in sight, but they're adapting it already. They might choose to adapt it partly and then never touch it again forcing you to read the manga like with H2.
