Manga 'Kono Oto Tomare!' Gets TV Anime Adaptation

An official website launched for a TV anime adaptation of Amyuu Sakura's Kono Oto Tomare! (Stop This Sound!) manga on Thursday.

Synopsis
Since the graduation of the senior members of the club, Takezou ends up being the sole member of the "Koto" (traditional Japanese string instrument) club. Now that the new school year has begun, Takezou will have to seek out new members into the club, or the club will become terminated. Out of nowhere, a new member barges into the near-abandoned club room, demanding to join the club. How will Takezou be able to keep his club alive and deal with this rascal of a new member? The manga has been serialized in Jump SQ. magazine since August 2012. Shueisha plans to publish the 18th compiled volume on August 3. The Kono Oto Tomare! - Tokize High School Koto Songs album released on March 8 won an Excellence Prize at the 72nd National Arts Festival Record and the Traditional Japanese Music Album of the Year at the 32nd Gold Disc Awards.

Friend of mine dragged me into this. The staff isn't hot but I don't base my expectations on it.

Pleasantly surprised this got an anime. It felt more suitable for a TV drama imo but I think it could work out. (even though I wish they get a better studio for it)

Wel yeah, and this is also "shounen", as wiki says "is manga aimed at a teenage male target-demographic"

OMG!!! I am so happy this is getting an anime!!!! I'm so fricking in love with the manga! Hope it is done right.... But reading previous comments I am scared now! But not losing hope!!
I'm eager to know who the seiyuus will be!

Lost all hopes seeing the staff and studio, and since the manga's best strength is art and atmosphere of the performances, this is doomed to fail. At least hope this means official translation of the manga.
