TV Anime 'IDOLiSH7' Gets Sequel

The first live event for the IDOLiSH7 franchise, Road to Infinity, was held at MetLife Dome this weekend and a sequel for the TV anime series was announced. TROYCA, the studio that animated the first season, will continue animating the series.

IDOLiSH7 is a smartphone rhythm game developed by Bando Namco, with music production by Lantis and character designs by Arina Tanemura. A TV adaptation was announced in August 2016, one year after the game's launch. Its first season broadcast this Winter and finished in May with 17 episodes. A web spin-off series also began streaming on Bandai Namco Arts' YouTube Channel this February. A collection album that includes songs from the game is set to release on September 26.
