Psycho Manga 'Happy Sugar Life' Gets TV Anime [Update 2/24]

A teaser website launched on Thursday announced that Tomiyaki Kagisora's Happy Sugar Life will get a TV anime adaptation. The series is slated for this summer via MBS and more channels. Akari Nanao, who will debut this August, will be performing the theme song. Kagisora drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement (pictured above).

Synopsis
This is a shivering pure love psycho horror story of a girl named Satou Matsuzaka, who has someone she likes. She experiences a sweet feeling when she sleeps with her, and thought it must be love. Everything will be forgiven as long as she protects this feeling, even if she tricks, commits crimes, steals, or even kills, she thought.

Manga is excellent. Twisted, but also weirdly cute thriller.

Just in case anyone is wondering the relationship isn't sexual or romantic. She's obsessed with the idea of the little girl and its more like a f*cked up obsessive mother.

This is more or less because despite reading the source material the teenager doesn't actually do any harm to the actual child. She does go over-protective about her tho but it doesn't go to anything lewd extenses to where it can be irked off.

I'm surprised it got an anime tbh but hoping for the best. They really need to capture the mood of the manga.

Didn't expect an anime too, is a very odd and original manga and i like the obsession love of the MC, also i like age gap stories and full yandere characters. Hopefully they do a good and faithful adaption.
