TV Anime 'Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu' Reveals Staff

The official website of the anime adaptation of Yukiya Murasaki and Takahiro Tsurusaki's Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu fantasy light novel series revealed main staff members and the first preview on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Summer 2018.

Published by Kodansha since December 2014, the novel series has over a million copies of its volumes in print as of this January. A manga adaptation drawn by Naoto Fukuda began its serialization in Niconico Seiga's Suiyoubi no Sirius web magazine in June 2015. The ninth light novel volume and the sixth manga volume went on sale on February 2.

J-Novel Club licensed the novel series in English and released the second volume digitally on February 19. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga adaptation for North American distribution, and plans to publish the first volume in June 2018.

A lot of hatred here against the anime but already has a lot more "plan to watch" than any of the "mature" seinen (like Vinland Saga or Pet) that have been announced these days and that people seem to love so much in the forums.

I think I'm going to start reading the novels, I've seen two reasons for that in the pv.

Not gonna lie but the animation (in terms of the PV) looks like it came out of a hentai.. But whatever.. the only thing the this show going for is of course the T&A and making this a isekai makes it worse. But whatever, Isekai trend yay....

Okay ignoring the fact that this is an isekai series, the PV alone rubs me the wrong way. It's clear this is just purely advertisement material but it doesn't even seem that appealing in any stretch. Not really a fan of the staff either, especially the director who seems quite inexperienced with the whole matter. Definitely giving the pass for this one.

Looks like we are going to get finally a good season for ecchi anime in Summer.

Yuragi-sou, Sunohara and this. Hoping that we also get Senran Kagura in that season.

I guarantee everyone posting how bad it’s gonna be because it’s an otaku light novel series is going to watch it anyway, but probably won’t watch most of the anime that from the season that doesn’t fall under that category. I’m just not sure why people are so tsundere about these things. I guess it comes from a need to fit in?
