TV Anime 'Hinomaruzumou' Announces Staff Members

This year's 16th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump has revealed staff members for the previously announced Hinomaruzumou (Sumo of the Rising Sun) TV anime. The series is slated for Fall 2018.

Director: Yasutaka Yamamoto (Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo?)
Character Design: Kie Tanaka (Hundred)
Studio: Gonzo
Production: Nihon Ad Systems

Drawn by Kawada, Hinomaruzumou has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump since May 2014. Shueisha published the 19th compiled volume on March 2.

A PV with no real animation and live action stuff? Probably a pretty low budget series then. Character designs look pretty meh to me too. Who knows though it might be fun.

Rebirth of Gonzo? they have alot of projects this year. Also 2 cour show this spring

Sumo has never been an attractive sport for me; however I see it's not Toei or Pierrot handling this so, think it's enough of a positive thing to check the very start of the anime, and I kinda like the MC design.
