Mangaka Shinichi Koga Dies

The official website for Akita Shoten has announced on Friday that mangaka Shinichi Koga died on March 1 from an unspecified disease. He was 81 years old.

Born Shinsaku Koga, he was a noteworthy horror manga artist from Eko Eko Azaraku, which published via Akita Shoten's Shounen Champion between 1975 to 1979 for 19 volumes. Its sequel manga was published via Suspiria magazine in 1993 for six volumes. The first manga series has received live-action drama and movie adaptations from 1995 to 1997, 2006, and 2011. He has also published numerous manga series under the same genre such as Kurokami no Noroi, Majo Jigoku, and more.

rest in peace, 80+ is a good age considering that you will hear news of mangaka and animators dying at a lower age than that
