The new preview for TMS Entertainment's Spring 2018 anime Megalo Box features COMA-CHI's rap.

Souten no Ken Re:Genesis | TV | PV
Souten no Ken Re:Genesis is an anime adaptation that will commemorate the 35th anniversary of Hokuto no Ken. Yoshio Shikazumi (Ajin storyboard) will direct the Spring 2018 series at Polygon Pictures. The promotional video previews the opening theme "Souten no Hate ni" by AK-69.

I think that the Megalo Box PV would have been much better without the lyrics, just let the song play and let the visuals tell what you want to say, it would've been dope.

The song from Re:Genesis was pretty good, but the low frame rate in some scenes still bothers me.

Polygon is known for having all of their stuff having very similar art styles and character designs, but Souten no Ken is something different... but not for the best though. At times it looks good (kinda like a JoJo OP), but some parts look pretty ehh. But the voice acting is solid.

I just started reading Ashita no Joe and might have the manga finished before Megalo Box. I'm not quite sure if Megalo Box is supposed to take place in the same universe as Ashita no Joe or not.

Two series being made for an anniversary.
One looks great, and the other looks like a bunch of low-framerate garbage video game cutscenes...

*sigh* honestly... why couldn't Re:Genesis at the very least just be animated like the other series from 2006? Why did it have to be CGI? T_T

Oh well, there's plenty of other stuff to take up my time in Spring already, so no big loss!

Megalo box is the most hype anime of the year. It doesn't look generic like tons of other modern anime are and i'm happy to see the Ashita no joe references
