Seiyuu Yurika Endou has announced via Swallow agency's website on Sunday that she will be retiring from the entertainment field and suspend her seiyuu and singing activities at the end of May 2018. She explained that it is mainly due to her declining health as it piles up. Even though she has tried to under her current condition, she decided that it would be best to retire at this time. A final solo live will be held before her retirement.

Endou entered the entertainment field in 2012 when she was still a high school student. Endou entered the 6th Anisong Grand Prix and was one of the finalists. Later, she also entered the 2nd Annual Pony Canyon Koetama Grand Prix Audition in 2012, where she won. She debuted as YURI*KARI with Karin Takahashi, who is the 1st Annual Pony Canyon Koetama Grand Prix winner, by performing the Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge opening theme song in April 2013. Endou's debut as a seiyuu came when she played the role of Haruno Yoshikawa from the Diamond no Ace series. She has also done solo activities and debuted by performing the Z/X: Ignition ending theme song.

Her roles include Asuna Kangoshi from Anime de Wakaru Shinryounaika, Nozomi Momijidani from Tenshi no 3P, Reika Shiragane from Kaijuu Girls: Ultra Kaijuu Gijinka Keikaku, and Risa Imai from the BanG Dream! franchise, to name a few. As characters, she has performed the Diamond no Ace ending theme song, the Tenshi no 3P theme songs, the Kaijuu Girls: Ultra Kaijuu Gijinka Keikaku theme songs, and more. In addition, she has released four CDs, and for anisong tie-ups she also performed the Majimoji Rurumo ending theme song.

No it's a fan account presumably reposting her photos from a social media site that she is on, I'm afraid I don't know which (and it's picking rather personal ones!). ただの遠藤ゆりかオタク= just a Yurika Endou otaku... (which I'm not sure is good syntax).

@Rayzer I don't know when they announced cast members (I guess they did when they started the project?) but from the cast/staff page, there are lots of characters with cast members listed.

@Rayzer could you please ask more clearly? I don't really quite get what you meant. Do you mean the cast for Onsen Musume or the new cast for her character?
The first one, because I didn't see any cast announcement for Onsen Musume.

I wish her all the best.

it's so sad to see her go.. she's been performing in character while working so hard at her music too, so in terms of giving a career like this your all, it seems to be true that the brightest stars burn out fastest in many cases.

early 20's is such a common time to start feeling the effects of many health conditions, so I'm really happy for her (in sort of a sad way) that she managed to catch it this early and is focusing on her own wellbeing.

It probably is related to the vocal damage.

She could put either idol or seiyuu work on hiatus, just like Nana Mizuki did, but then again, i don't know what was written in her contract. She made wise decision, if her health condition is getting worse, it is best to retire as soon as possible, we lost many great talents de to overwork :(

Too soon...
Is it that bad that she chose retirement instead of a long hiatus? :(

So young... I wish her the best. She might've worked herself too hard...

She's too young yet she got health conditions so quickly... that's really sad.

Ach, sounds like another case of overwork, throat conditions, or something like that. I thought she could be a big singer in the Akiba-pop vein, and especially like her feature on "Requiem for Eventers" from ZAQ's latest album.

Sad that Roselia now lost it's bassist next year. Hopefully her replacement will also able to play bass too.
