Seems to be pulling an SJW. Lets see how that shit turns out shall we.
I'm still surprised that they axed Prison School in the first place, because despite the shitty cavalry arc, Prison School reached rank 50 on yearly sales this year. That's still better than most of what this magazine has sold this year.
Haven't read it but did the story have anywhere else to go? I'm pretty against manga staying in print as long as it's doing well and I mean, tying up loose ends should be mandatory thought but I guess it depends on the mangaka in a way.
The manga's pacing is quite slow from chapter 200+, so for it to immediately trying to tie up loose ends is weird and makes a lot of us think that it got axed. Like recently, we spent over 50+ chapters (a year and more in real life time) of useless cavalry arc filler stuffs that adds 0 to the story.
Then the new arc (from chapter 241+) introduces new subplots with slow pacing for the next 30 chapters and most of them are ignored. These new subplots would've been a nice addition to the story, because it felt like there's something interesting about it like a certain character's past or another certain character's arc that the author has been building pre-chapter 200, but didn't really get paid off.
I'm not even sure if the author can even tie up his new subplots in the last chapters at all. Heck, I don't think that the author can pull off the main characters' goals since the beginning of this manga. Which is

The hope for a sequel and resolving some sub plots left in this new arc is almost gone. The only other hope is that another magazine is willing to pick up Prison School, but it doesn't seem to be happening.
