Fantasia Bunko Dai Kanshasai 2017 Announces Two Anime Series
At the Fantasia Bunko Dai Kanshasai 2017 event on Saturday, it was announced that the Date A Live franchise will receive a new anime series. An anime adaptation of the Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja Nai light novel has also been announced. More information will be announced later.
Date A Live is a light novel series by Koushi Tachibana with illustration by Tsunako that has been published since March 2011. The series currently has 17 volumes in print, with latest released on August 19. Studio AIC Plus+ animated the 12-episode first season and an OVA in 2013, while Production IMS produced the 10-episode second season in Spring 2014 and movie adaptation in August 2015.
Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja Nai is a light novel by Seiji Ebisu with illustration by Gintarou that began publishing in August 2016. The novel has four volumes in print, with latest published on August 19. The story revolves around the Nagami siblings. The sister, Suzuka, attends junior high school as the student council president with good grades. However, she is also a light novel author, and her work—where a sister admires her brother—wins an award. The brother, Yuu, discovers this and then debuts as the author instead, under the pen name Chikai Towano.

The only reason I will watch another show of this caliber is if:
- The girl is a pervert or at the very least loves stripping down to her underwear (or even nude),
- She has no problem with being seen in her undies or completely nude (especially by her brother),
- The brother isn't a total pussy and doesn't avert his eyes if he catches his sister (half-)naked,
- They actually try to have sex and kiss each other at least once.
Or unless it gets overwhelming positive reviews, or I feel like torturing myself.
If they're gonna do a sibling romance-themed show, I want them to do it right and have them go all the way, and not dance around the subject by showing a lot of sexual tension and no any actual development.
I'm definitely interested in Date A Live 3, though.

Either way though I am very excited the ones I'm the most hyped for in no order are.
Overlord Season 2
Date A Live Season 3
Highschool DxD Season 4 (I'll have to get used to the LN look first I guess though)
Full Metal Panic! Season 4
Code Geass Season 3
Tokyo Ghoul RE/ Season 3
And I know theirs alot more I've probably have missed but these are the ones I am most excited for. (Sorry about this I'm in a very hyped mood today.)

Announcement poster by the author:
I need to see my best girl Kotori again T_T it's been so long and Rinne Utopia + Ars Install + Rio Reincarnation is not enough.
So that's volume 8-11 confirmed already, since the author included Origami on the announcement picture. Which is a whole season pacing like season 1 (4 volumes, vol. 1-4) instead of season 2 (3 volumes, vol. 5-7). This means there will be at least 12 episodes like season 1 instead of season 2 and I just hope it'd be better than season 2.

It's only a guess on my part, but I think it too much of a coincidence for this series to suddenly get an anime adaptation announced now. Fujimi Fantasia Bunko has historically stuck fairly rigidly to adapting its better selling series, and more so than other labels that put out anime adaptations frequently. So why this over more successful stuff like Only Sense Online (or the previously mentioned Assassin's Pride, for that matter)? The likeliest reason I can come up with is to think that they believe Eromanga-sensei's success is an indication that there's a big market for such series and they want a part of it.
I could be completely wrong, of course.
Thank you for your reply.

Not even close. There's probably 50+ isekai for every series like this.
I'm guessing Fujimi Fantasia Bunko just grabbed the closest thing to Eromanga-sensei that they have to get an anime in order to try to cash in on that series' success. It's not as though this is a particularly popular series, though, and there's no author name recognition here - which was probably the main reason for people to start reading Eromanga-sensei to begin with and thus might lead to it not getting the success they hope for.
On the other hand this means that the anime could potentially be more helpful, in getting awareness of the series' existance out to the target audience.
Looking forward to a third season of Date A Live, though.
But why? Even if Eromanga-Sensei was very successful, FF has enough adaptations with the same sales, for example Boring Heroine.

Looks like Japan has as big of an abundance of Imouto LNs as it has Isekai LNs.
