Seiyuu and Sound Director Toshihiko Nakajima Dies

News reports have revealed on Friday that seiyuu and sound director Toshihiko Nakajima died in a hospital on September 8 from an unspecified illness, which he fought until the end. He was 55 years old. A funeral has been held by close family members.

Nakajima's major voice roles include Kojiro Murdoch from the Mobile Gundam Seed series, Haruhiko Yagi from the Hajime no Ippo series, and Hachiemon from the Inuyasha series. He also worked as a staff member, mainly as a sound director, on the Bungaku Shoujo anime project, Kobato., Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro, and more. His latest work was a sound director of Kamisama Minarai: Himitsu no Cocotama. He was also an active actor in theatrical plays.
