The official Twitter account of Squire Enix's Young Gangan magazine announced on Friday that author Ryohgo Narita (Baccano!, Durarara!!) is writing a new manga series with illustrator Shinta Fujimoto. Titled Dead Mount Death Play, the manga will launch in the 21st issue of the magazine on October 20.

Fujimoto's manga adaptation of Narita and illustrator Katsumi Enami's Baccano! light novel series began serializing in Young Gangan magazine in October 2015 and concluded with 22 chapters on January 6. Square Enix shipped the third and final compiled volume on April 10. Yen Press published the chapters simultaneously in English with the Japanese release, and has also licensed the series for physical release.

Baccano! began its publication in February 2003 under Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint and currently has 22 volumes in print. Narita announced last August that he is working on the final "1935" volume of the series. The light novel has been published in English by Yen Press since May 2016, with the fourth volume released on April 18.

A 13-episode anime adaptation by Brain's Base aired in Summer 2007. Funimation licensed the anime for North American distribution and released the series in four DVD volumes between January and June in 2009, as well as a complete DVD collection boxset in December that year. Aniplex of America released a Blu-ray boxset in May 2011, and re-released it again in July 2012.

I almost shat myself reading Baccano! on an announcement.
But now I'm hurting because it has nothing to do with it...

If it doesn't end or progress as shittily as drrr did towards the end and doesn't end up being as bland a bore as the droppable SH is, I might give it a whirl. I've been very demoralized by Narita's lower quality work and focus on the wrong characters lately.

Apparently, Narita also said in his twitter that this manga is an Isekai genre manga. Not sure how to feel about this, but I do wonder how an Isekai written by Narita would be...

Narita's Twitter said:
というわけで、ヤングガンガンさんでオリジナル新作始まる事になりました! 小説仕事の方に負担の掛からぬペースでやっていきますので拙作の小説読者の皆さんも宜しくお願いします! ジャンルは異世界転生物です。多分。異世界転生物……なんじゃ……ないですかね……? ……多分。(目を逸らす)

Google Translation :
That's why Young Gangan is starting a new original work! I will do it at no pace with no burden on the novel work so everyone of my novel readers will do well! Genre is a different world trans genre. Maybe. Different world transplant ...... Anything ... ... is not it ...? ……Maybe. (Deflecting eyes)

Excited but I really want another novel from him instead. I feel like his style works best as a light novel or manga because of the limitation within those two mediums. Manga doesn't seem like a good route for him much like it wasnt for Nisio Isin where we had a wall of text in text bubbles.

I find Medaka Box a chore to read fort hat reason despite Nisio being of my favorite writers.

Will we ever see the end of his previous works, that's the real question here...

Ryohgo Narita's to do list :

>Baccano! 1935
>Durarara!! SH
>Bleach
>Fate/Strange Fake Vol. 5
>Vamp! Vol. 6
>Possibly Etsusa Gaiden and Hariyama-san too

Now this...

Though this is a good news, I have but one complaint. Narita, at least complete one of your previous works before starting another...

Don't forget Izaya series and another drrr x hakata tonkotsu novel. Here i am wanting for drrr sh continuation.

I thought Medaka Box was great. Not as good as his novels, but still awesome.
