'Asagao to Kase-san.' Gets New Anime for 2018

The official Asagao-to Kase-san. anime website has announced that the series will get a new anime project in 2018. More information such as the format of the work will be announced at a later time.

Asagao to Kase-san is the first installment of Hiromi Takashima's Kase-san Series, which began its serialization in yuri manga anthology Hirari in 2010, before moving to Web Magazine Wings due to the former ceasing publication in 2014. The series currently has four compiled volumes in print, with the latest volume Apron to Kase-san. published on July 25, which bundles the Kimi no Hikari: Asagao to Kase-san. anime adaptation. The OVA will also be screened at the Yamagata International Film Festival on October 7.

i've only read a little of Miman Renai which I thought was pretty cute

expecting a similar style and what not since it's the same author, but this is a shoujo-ai(?) so I'm definitely on board

hadn't heard of this one before now though so going in blind

I'm so excited!! I watched the little OVA and was like, "Yeah! I'd love more of this!" More of it came! So pleased! Ahhh! So pleased!
Also, I love anime shorts so I don't mind if it's a short or a 24 minute or whatever. Any content is fine with me! ;o;

This and Citrus is out last hope for a good yuri/shoujo-ai anime. Pleaseeeee. Don't let them be shorts.

Considering the market and current trend in the industry, no one has any excuse to be surprised at what this will be.

I'm hoping for a full length anime, of course, but everything's better than nothing. Still far too few good yuri adaptions out there.

I don't really get why people are against shorts a lot but then again, I'm not complaining about this either. Full length or TV series, I'm in. Like, I did liked the MV for this and it was really sweet.
