Manga 'Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro' Receives Anime Adaptation

The August 2017 issue of Media Factory's Comic Flapper magazine is announcing on Wednesday that manga Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro will receive an anime adaptation. Kadokawa revealed a promotional video for the anime at its Anime Expo panel on Saturday. The series is slated to premiere in 2018.

The comedy manga is written and illustrated by Tadataka Kawasaki and has been serialized in Monthly Comic Flapper magazine since April 2014. Kadokawa Media Factory has published six compiled manga volumes as of March 23. The series has also been published online through Kadokawa's Comic Walker app.

While I'm always wary of anything Diomedea get their hands on, I have to say that this looks absolutely hilarious and ridiculous, so I'm definitely going to be watching it.

The manga is ok at times, a poor man's Nichijou unfortunately mixed with some crass elements that rarely work. Doesn't look like the studio choice is going to do it any favours, but will keep an eye out for staff.
