'Sakamichi no Apollon' Gets Live-Action Film for 2018

Sakamichi no Apollon began serialization in September 2009 and ended in January 2012, with nine volumes compiled. The manga was awarded in the general category for the 57th Shougakukan Manga Awards and also received a recommendation by the judging committee for the 16th Japan Media Arts Award in 2012. A TV anime series by MAPPA and Tezuka Productions was broadcast via Fuji TV's noitaminA programming block for 12 episodes in Spring 2012. Crunchyroll simulcast the series and Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for North American release in 2013.

Haven't seen the actual series but things like these that don't revolve around action or anything like that would work in live-action.
Highly recommend watching it.
Will go and give it a watch when I feel like wanting to see it. I heard very good things from a lot of people which had it in their favorites and all.

The cover of Shogakukan's Flowers June issue (pictured) has announced that Yuki Kodama's Sakamichi no Apollon will receive a theatrical live-action adaptation. It is slated to premiere in 2018.

Haven't seen the actual series but things like these that don't revolve around action or anything like that would work in live-action.

While I normally oppose the idea of live action, hearing this is kind of exciting. Sakamichi no apollon is one of the best slice of life animes.
Agreed, Sakamichi no Apollon was a pretty good slice of life anime, I enjoyed it.
