Seiyuu Yoshimasa Hosoya to Enter Hiatus

Seiyuu Yoshimasa Hosoya has announced via A&G+ Radio show Tensai Gunshi that he will take a short break from his seiyuu career to recover from his throat condition. He plans to return within this year. The same announcement was later revealed on his official website.

Hosoya has voiced Kuranosuke Shiraishi from Prince of Tennis series, Nezumi from No.6, Arata Wataya from Chihayafuru series, Daryun from Arslan Senki (TV) series, Kaito from Ajin series, Doppo Kunikida from Bungou Stray Dogs series, Reiner Braun from Shingeki no Kyojin series, Kojou Akatsuki from Strike the Blood series, Oota from Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge series, Kakeru Tengenji from Starmyu series, Fumikage Tokoyami from Boku no Hero Academia series and more. He hosts an A&G+ radio show titled Tensai Gunshi with fellow seiyuu Hiroki Yasumoto, which received most useful radio award during the First Annual Aniradi Awards in 2015.

I'm glad he is getting well. I got very worried his singing voice in Starmyu S2 felt weak.

@Yaoi-Senpai I read they have his app voice change ready by May 31 maintenance.
They've been discussing voice change since last year. This means Hosoyan been ill for quite sometime. This breaks my heart.

Really like his voice. It's so deep and hoarse. Also like a lot of his characters. Can't imagine Aren Kuboyasu (Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan, will have a 2nd season) having a different seiyuu. Hosoya's perfect for the character. And yeah, he did voice a lot of characters in the recent years. He deserves some rest. Hope he gets better soon!

Poor Hosoyan. It's sad to know his roles keep getting replaced permanently. Please no more.
I'm grieving here about Fujiwara-san he is not back yet and his roles get replaced one by one.

Tokoyami and Reiner are his biggest characters (well mostly Reiner since Tokoyami doesn't talk much) right now, so he has been working non stop and deserves the rest
