TV Anime 'Himouto! Umaru-chan' Gets Second Season

The official website for Himouto! Umaru-chan has announced that the TV anime will receive a second season to air in Fall 2017. The main staff and cast members will reprise their roles. More information will be revealed at a later time.

Himouto! Umaru-chan is drawn by SankakuHead and began its serialization in Young Jump in March 2013. The series currently has nine compiled volumes in print, with the tenth volume shipping on April 19. The first season by Doga Kobo aired in Summer 2015, and was simulcast by Crunchyroll. An unaired episode 13 was bundled with the manga's seventh volume in October 2015. Previously announced second OVA will also be bundled with the tenth compiled volume.

mediocre slice of life anime...this whole "i cant recognize the difference between chibi and normal form" is just stupid premise...dunno how they can get 2nd season...

As much as I like Himouto! Umaru-chan (and I like it much!), I am not sure I want to see a 2nd season.

It is fine as it was, ending with the one season it had - it followed a concept that concluded.
Sankakuhead should move on, do sth. new ...

Now I am worried that a 2nd season will show mostly how there's no more concept, just generic comedy sth. with known characters. Compare Non Non Biyori Repeat where already by the end of 1st season it was obvious they had hardly any more ideas what to do ...

i know himouto BD isn't bad, but it's not that good either..

Umaru-chan is such a silly series... but i love it way too much so I was expecting a S2 soon enough. I'm glad, and looking forward!
