Second 'Hibike! Euphonium' Recap Movie Announced

The official website for TV anime Hibike! Euphonium 2 has announced that its recap movie is in production for Fall 2017.

Hibike! Euphonium 2 is the sequel to Kyoto Animation's 13-episode TV anime of the novel series written by Ayano Takeda. A recap movie for first season premiered on April 23, 2016 with its Blu-ray and DVD released on September 7, 2016. The second season aired in Fall 2016.

So the recap movie will featured a new scene where mei(or maybe yuzu) appear as guess character watching Kitauji high school concert band club during kansai competition, I guess rumor abut KyoAni who will handle the adaptation of Saburouta' Citrus is likely true if this proofed.

Well, with those gorgeous visuals, it's easy to make a movie out of it. The only plus I can think of would be that they might add some extra scenes or longer versions of the performances, such as the one Asuka plays on the meadows, or Reina on the dam or even the outdoor concert in the station since they did have a longer version with added footages for the SunFes performance in the first season's recap movie.

Since Takeda said she is hoping to continue the story after getting such a great reception, there could be more materials available once she finally starts on it after her new detective/mystery novel she is working on right now. But there is no guarantee that KyoAni will adapt it. The only thing that makes me hopeful is that Ishihara has been not only full of positive appraisal about the work they have put on the franchise but how working on it has been their best experience as animators.

They could also make a sequel movie or a sequel season completely anime original diverting from the source material, because no matter what, even if Takeda were to write sequels, we know it will start from where it left off:

Ehhhh, what is even the point of announcing a "recap" stuff when most people wouldn't look forward to it?

S1 recap saved me time before starting S2 as it omitted tons of pointless drama/events. I guess it could lead to and S3 but then the sources are /shrug

IDK why people are getting their hopes up for a new season when there are no more novels left to adapt. I will be shocked if it happens.

Problem is, light novel ended, there is no more material to adapt. We might get adaptation of spin off, that focus on Azusa, Kumiko friend from Rikka High School

Does this mean Season 3? I mean, there's no point in producing another recap movie if they're not going to produce another season, right? RIGHT?!

Edit: That's right..I remember. Hibike Euphonium 2 was a complete adaptation... *sigh* (--__-)=cc
