TV Anime 'Hoozuki no Reitetsu' to Receive Second Season

The official Twitter for Hoozuki no Reitetsu has announced that it will receive a second season to premiere in Fall 2017. It was announced during today's new OVA pre-screening event "Jigoku no Daikanshoukai in Roppongi."

While all of the cast members will reprise from first season and OVA episodes, there is some change to the staff members.

Script: Midori Gotou (first season series composition and OVA script)
Character Design: Jirou Omatsuri
Editing: Rie Matsubara (Kubikiri Cycle: Aoiro Savant to Zaregototsukai)
Sound Director: Shouji Hata (ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka)
Sound Effect: Emi Takanashi (Hoozuki no Reitetsu)
Sound Production: Studio Don Juan
Music Prodiction: King Records
Studio: Studio Deen

Hoozuki no Reitetsu has been serialized in the Morning magazine since March 2011 and currently has 23 volumes in print. A 4-koma spin-off manga titled Hoozuki no Reitetsu: Shiro no Ashiato by Monaka Shiba has been serialized in the Nakayoshi magazine since December 2015. Wit Studio adapted the series into a 13-episode TV anime in Winter 2014 and three OVAs that were bundled with 17th, 18th and 19th volume of the manga between February and August in 2015. A new OVA is planned to bundle in 24th compiled volume, which will release on March 23, 2017. Sentai Filmworks licensed the TV anime for North American distribution and released the series on a single BD/DVD box in February 2015.

god dammit.... looks like i'll have to catch up with the first season.... (or more like, actually start it cause i just had it sitting in my PTW list for some time)

however, it looks like something i'll enjoy so i don't mind.... and studio deen has been doing pretty well lately so....

I was starting to worry when I see this getting a second season. Thank god, wit studio will not be doing this, because they would have production issues since they are such a small staff.
