TV Anime 'Ballroom e Youkoso' Main Cast Members Announced

This year's April issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shounen Magazine will announce on Monday the main cast members of the anime adaptation of Tomo Takeuchi's manga Ballroom e Youkoso. It will also reveal that a new promotional video will be released featuring the band UNISON SQUARE GARDEN on March 22. The anime is slated to air July 2017.

Tatara Fujita: Shinba Tsuchiya (Haikyuu!!: Karasuno Koukou VS Shiratorizawa Gakuen Koukou)
Kiyoharu Hyoudou: Nobuhiko Okamoto (Ao no Exorcist)
Shizuku Hanaoka: Ayane Sakura (Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari)
Kaname Sengoku: Toshiyuki Morikawa (Bakumatsu Rock)

I actually thought of Uchiyama Kouki (insert Tsukishima or Yoshino) in my head for Kiyoharu, too. Okamoto's voice would have been perfect for Gaju. I cannot imagine any other role than Shin-ah's that would fit for Kiyoharu. He usually has a very high pitch sound and usually he has roles that talk faster than other characters unlike what I imagined to be Kiyoharu's character (seems a bit laid back/reserved and with a low pitch). But all great seiyuu usually find a way so I am hoping to see a great performance from him.

Same can be said for Sakura Ayane (would have fit more for Chi-chan) but that's probably just me.

yeah same everytime I read the manga I have Uchiyama for Kiyoharu in mind >< and when I saw Okamoto was cast I was a little disapointed but then yeah he voices Shin-ah, Usui and that dude from Prince of Stride so I kind of get it (now I'm just praying that my boy Uchiyama to be cast in Koi to Uso now). But yeah Okamato is pretty talented so I'm not worry, same for Morikawa Toshiyuki , I was expecting Hosoya for some reason, but I know Morikawa will be great !

Speaking of Chinatsu, I wonder if they'll also pick a newcomer to voice her... like maybe Senbongi Sayaka (Mumei in Kabaneri/Chitose in Girlish Number)

I so wanted Kiyoharu to be voice by Uchiyama Kouki :'( but I ain't mad Okamoto is amazing ! and great pick for Sengoku !

REALLY IMPATIENT about the rest of the cast and curious about this little rookie who will be the mc !

Just be patient. Usually they'll only announce the cast for characters that will appear in the first few episodes at this point. Chinatsu wont appear at least until very late of the first cour or early second cour so we wont get to know who'll voice her for a while.

Apart from Fujita's (rather unknown), I gotta say the rest of the seiyuu are fantastic picks! I am getting excited for this! Also, looking forward to the Akagis' seiyuu.

I am fully expecting Production I.G. to mix in some still shots like they did for their sports anime adaptations. Imagine them doing all the moves in waltz or tango for examples!

She's one of the biggest driving forces behind Fuita! She needs to be in it.
