The January 2017 edition of Shogakukan's Monthly Sunday GX is revealing that an original anime project titled Re:Creators will be slated for 2017. Rei Hiroe (Original creator of Black Lagoon) is credited for the original story, character design, and screenwriting, whilst Ei Aoki (Fate/Zero) will helm the series at studio TROYCA. Comiket 91 will reveal more information including the promotional trailer on December 29.

The magazine will also reveal that Rei Hiroe's manga Black Lagoon will be resuming in Spring 2017. The series began publishing in April 2002 in Shogakukan's Sunday GX magazine. In August 2008, the series began publishing in English by the VIZ Media Signature imprint.

This seems pretty interesting. Now I've seen only the first season of Black Lagoon and it was pretty solid of a ride honestly, so I'm hoping that this would be nice. This is also TROYCA's second show from what I gathered since they're the studio on the lineup, which is nice. I expect at least some good style of animation or something honestly.

So, based on the newly added teaser PV, seems like Sawano is doing the music for this.

Good to see that Hiroe is working on something.. but why isn't it Black Lagoon? I am pretty sure that the "return of BL" in spring will be just another few chapters max :/

I'm also happy to see Black Lagoon returning. Hope it won't go on a hiatus again.

Regarding this...idk guess we'll have to wait and see but judging on the studio, it should at least have decent visual quality.

Is this our regularly scheduled bait-and-switch show for 2017? I'm not falling for it.
