Cast and Staff Members of 'Eromanga-sensei' Announced [Update 10/2]

The cast and staff members of Eromanga-sensei were announced during the Nico Live stream on September 27. Masamune Izumi will be voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Sword Art Online).

Director: Ryouhei Takeshita (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun)
Series Composition: Tatsuya Takahashi (The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls)

Eromanga-sensei started its publication in December 2013 when the duo, writer Tsukasa Fushimi and illustrator Hiro Kanzaki, finished writing Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. The light novel currently has seven volumes total, with the most recent volume released on August 10. There is also a manga adaptation drawn by rin, which has been serialized in Dengeki Daioh since May 2014 and currently has four volumes total, with the most recent volume released on August 10.

NOOOO this is a bit of a let down. I guess I wouldn't have much expectations but main character voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka does shed some hope

He is one of the seiyuu which can play any roles perfectly whether a villain or hero or a young child. Well considering how popular he is and the awards he won, he is one of the main seiyuu to have loads of roles.

It depends what role he plays if he has to act annoying then he has to than using his normal tone of voice

I'm going to assume that your list is updated or even at least around 80%-ish accurate (it's private ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). There's a point where you'd reach a number of series where you'll recognize a seiyuu's voice from a single line, more so on the male ones because the requested voice range isn't really that wide in comparison to their female counterpart. It doesn't mean that seiyuu's voice is shitty but his/her quirks just became too familiar to you.

Believe me I once disliked Hanazawa Kana at one point because she was everywhere (main characters too), however of course it didn't mean that she has a shitty voice.

I'm not entirely defending Matsuoka but the reason for hating him is just too funny lmao

no one is forcing you to feel any way, but it wouldnt hurt to be considerate and refrain from slandering his name, would it? yoshitsugu is someone who is extremely dedicated to his craft as most seiyuu are. if youve read any translations of the rezero radio show, hes talked to rie takahashi (voice of emilia) about how strenuous the roles were on everyone--especially him as betelgeuse and kobayashi yuusuke as subaru. you gotta give him mad props for betelgeuse too; it proved that he has an extended range. after all, hes voiced characters from yukimura (ao haru kikanjuu) to titus (magi). also his name is pronounced yoshi tsugu not yo shit tsugu so your pun is not only in poor taste, but inaccurate as well.

Yes I know the guy, I've seen him on most nico live and listened to him on radio shows. You do know that it's their agency that sends job offer to him, which is by contract he should audition unless he adamantly refuse which is a bit impossible based on what I saw about his attitude. I really hope you know how their industry works because I don't really have much motivation to talk about it with you.

It's just unfortunate that he keeps getting main roles on generic anime (mostly battle-harem characters after SAO) which he was picked by the anime staff themselves, you have Kaji Yuuki and Hanae Natsuki on your favorites which were even more so regulars on the previous years. No need to go full hate just because the guy gets his paycheck.

Anyway, its better that you should only read the manga.

Well, its not like I'm defending him but well I can agree that his voice is overused... but I don't really think he's terrible. At least I can pass that off compared to Yuki Kaiji for my end (that guy I'm kind of losing interest in him in all honesty recently)

Still it really isn't something to go and hate on tbh.

He is kind of decent imo tbh. He does need to stop taking roles as the MC and take more antagonist roles, if you have seen the shows where he voiced as an antagonist.
