'Orange' Receives Anime Sequel Film
The film will be narrated from the viewpoint of Suwa, as he continues to support Kakeru and Naho's relationship. It will also feature an original story written by the series' original creator Ichigo Takano, which takes place after the events in the manga and TV anime. The tagline in the key visual reads, "Since that day, I've always wanted to show those two this future—."
The cast members and production staff will reprise their roles in the film with Naomi Nakayama as the chief director. The ending song of the TV anime Mirai by Kobukuro will be reused as the theme song.
Orange began its serialization in Bessatsu Margaret in March 2012 before switching to Monthly Action magazine the following year after returning from a hiatus. Crunchyroll simulpublishing the manga digitally in English in January 2014 and Seven Seas published two omnibus volumes on January 26 and May 31 in 2016.
A live-action film adaptation premiered in Japan in December 2015. The first half of a two-part spin-off about future Suwa titled Orange: Suwa Hiroto will run in the December issue of Monthly Action magazine on October 25.

I don't get why everybody pities Suwa. You should know - if you watched the anime - that at the end of the story there are two parallel realities established. This is the premise of the whole story in the first place.
One has a living Kakeru, who (probably) gets the MC.
In the other one Kakeru is dead and Suwa builds a family with the MC. They even have children.
So where is the problem?
I myself found the conclusion to be quite satisfying. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding what the people don't like about Suwa's treatment in the story?
Well I think it's because he loves her, but he's supporting Kakeru anyway.
If I'd love someone, it'd be very hard to support someone else to have a relationship with that person. It wouldn't comfort me or make me happy to think there's another world out there where I'm with the one I love.
It'd make me just sad. So that's why I feel a bit sad for Suwa, even he's a great friend and putting his friends happiness before his.
But I'm happy anyway that we saw him with Naho.
I also wanted Kakeru to feel happiness, so I loved the ending.

I'm not sure about the others but since I'm a fan of Suwa (I love him more than kakeru) I really want him to end up with someone else instead of thinking about Noha and Kakeru. He loved her so much, but she loved him as a friend. I still didn't watch the anime, im not sure if it's the same as manga tho. Now about this movie, we are going to see what's happened to Suwa in the future right? Isn't that great?

I just wish it will be fully written by the real author, since I can only consider it a canon if it's written by the manga author.
