Considering disc sales seem to be on the decline, I guess they want to do something that has mostly succeeded in recent times, such as idol anime.

The problem is, that it is difficult to surpass the titans of male and female idol anime (UtaPri and Love Live!), but UtaPri has a formidable rival coming up, which is Ensemble Stars (I wouldn't classify Osomatsu-san as an idol anime, even though its success is partly due to the popular cast of male seiyuu it has). Love Live! really has no real rival right now, but i'm sure there will be an idol anime in the future that can appeal almost equally/equally to male and female fans like Love Live! has (56.6:43.4 ratio), rather than Idolmaster (90:10 ratio). It's no coincidence that Idolmaster came out with the Side-M series when the interviewer of the creator pointed out that Idolmaster had a very lopsided fanbase.

Looking at the character designs themselves, it looks pretty nice, so I hope it enjoys success. It is nice to see Mizuki-sama focus more on the seiyuu side of things, because her CD sales have been on a slide lately as pointed out by Hpulley.

This looks pretty entertaining enough. Would be considered fun for me tbh but we'll see.

Well this looks new. Will it take over Idolmaster as my nubmer 1 anime? Probably not but looks like it'll be fun to watch.

Lol. Ryotaro Okiayu, Nana Mizuki and Ayahi Takagaki in supporting cast. Support characters are better singers than the idols themselves :p

It's even moreso when said support cast are voicing idols themselves, look at Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls, the supporting cast was far better than the main cast, it's like night and day.

The formula is still a bad idea, it's been tried last year and failed miserably, unless the live action is just the cast singing and dancing on stage or in a music video, it's pretty much an almost guaranteed failure, you almost always can't do Idol anime well this formula without something just as good to fill the other part of the experience.

Also, what the hell is with the mean spirited faculty in idol academies these days?

...what the meaning of 15 min live action?

It's going to have a 15 minute short anime followed by the seiyuu, either as themselves or as their characters in cosplay, doing skits, perhaps live singing, maybe silly games, perhaps interview 'guests' like the staff, probably stuff like that.

Seems Nana Mizuki returned to voice acting, first Kono Bijutsu and cameo in Love Live Sunshine (Riko's mom) and now here, i know she focused on her singing carrer.
Well, her CD sales are on a real slide disc after disc so it seems the focus on her singing career isn't quite working out as planned.
okay.
so, it is like typical radio activities thing that they usually doing then.

To cut animation costs in half.
if the animation still pretty and the CG dance not blasphemy, I won't complain.

The art style looks pretty neat. I'm not expecting anything but I sure hope it's 24+ minutes. Will pick this up.

All of them are really pretty.
I don't expect much, but I hope it doesn't end up as a harem.
Definitely going to try in hope that I don't end up in disapointment.
