Anime Project of 'Zaregoto' Light Novel Series Announced
Zaregoto was originally published between 2002 and 2005 by Kodansha for a total of nine volumes. Del Rey Manga published the first two volumes in English in 2008 and 2010. The first volume, Kubikiri Cycle, is the winner of the 23rd Mephisto Prize, a literary award for unpublished genre fiction novels. The series also placed first in the 2006 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel is Amazing!) rankings in Light Novels category.
Synopsis
The story revolves around the protagonist "I" and the murders and mysteries he encounters. He tries in vain to stay out of the story, but instead he always gets dragged into the center of everything. Even though it seems that he contributes a lot, he always finds out that whatever he did was meaningless in the end.

Maybe worth submitting a news, especially since we're getting at least 2 seiyuu and so on as well.

Seems like it was a CM they saw with the monogatari movie .So that would make it OVA indeed. The question is, OVA series or just single OVA? Seems too short for one book, so probably ova series?
Nice choice of seiyuu btw.
confirmed as 8 Vol.OVA

It's an interesting work to put into anime; although, as a mystery novel it uses stuff that I don't especially appreciate, like unreliable narrator and the like, so I wouldn't call it "very good" either.
Not the best LN's adaptation we're getting soon, but still, it should be interesting. Plus, we'll get to see Jun Aikawa animated. Should be worth it just for this I suppose x).

Now if i could get a copy of volume 1 without paying $60 that would be nice too.

I couldn't find a single english translation for this LN, so guess I'll just have to make do with the anime.
the first 2 volume is available
you can find them easily if you do some googling
I'm not quite sure but i think there's up to 5 volumes translated

Yay, glad to see this getting an anime adaptation. No staff announced yet but I full expect Shaft as the studio.
The site's code mentions SHAFT.

Okay that makes sense. I was almost worried it would be like some short random OVA like for Ancient Magus Bride.
