More war is great, since epic battles are BB's strength.
Recently finished ep12. Ya so much happened, kinda messy. But nice to see major relationships & backstories explained.
Sister pretty much confirmed S2 is her arc, so less of A-chan which some viewers find annoying should appear less I guess.
I actually hope that the little bit at the end just meant that the sister would just be occurring regularly in the story, rather than her being the entire focus now.
I know some people found Azuma annoying, but I'd much rather see more of him and the other members who have started to mature, rather than his sister who has a weird hybrid of a over-hyper/know-it-all/elitist personality. Plus she was on board with the American team and was totally ok with the Treasure Island, her home, being shot down. Honestly her personality is the same as her obnoxious child self, just ten fold.
From her first short reappearance midway, it hinted she's a potential main antagonist, at least against A chan's ideals. Not sure about personality since the huge timeskip. But what's interesting is the show gives characterization to the antagonists, explaining various Reoko & teammates' backstories. At the start Reoko appeared as a simple dictator who vilified Migiwa. Now we know her weird Migiwa relationship & their motives. It goes beyond hero fighting the 1D villain, so I'm hoping Guy & Kaoruko explain their timeskip.
Actually I just need more Shizuru & Lardo.

I guess this is good news.
Didn't find the first half neither good or bad, just average. But that ending cliffhanger with all of the shit hitting the fan at the same time made it basically need a sequel.
- Treasure Island sank
- Migiwa is MIA again
- Azuma's sister joined the American team and was on board with the plan to sink the island, hinting she might become an antagonist.
- Fate of Reoko and her team unknown.
Plus, now that all of the countries raped and pillaged the island to get hearts and limbs, it looks like they all have their Burankis now and it'll be all out war.

That's exactly what I'm hoping. Like if she is going to be a recurring character, I hope she's an antagonist, because that's exactly how they portray her. If they try to pull a 180 with her antics it will kind of ruin it.
That's definitely one of the things I liked about this show was how fleshed out the villains were. Really to the point where they weren't even bad guys half the time. Hell, even Zetsubi was cheering them on and encouraging them to grow outside of their fights. Fuckin Matobai was actually trying to save Kogane from a life of suffering the entire time by wanting to destroy her Bubuki, even if it made him look like the bad guy. Then he realized that maybe it wasn't his decision to make.
Reoko is like a tragic villain. She did suffer at the hands of Migiwa, because Migiwa's train of thought is a very tunnel vision-y black and white. She kept Reoko locked up in a cage in her basement for 8 years, simply because in her mind it was the most logical way to save her...even if it was incredibly fucked up and not the right move. Migiwa knew that Buranki's would lead to world-wide catastrophe so she stopped all of the hearts. She had the best intentions but thought nothing of the ensuing repercussions. Very much the "ends justify the means" type, but without knowing any better. ---- At the same time, Reoko is so fucked up in the head from reviving so many times, that she now has tunnel vision when it comes to Migiwa and Buranki. So you part pity her for what she went through, part get pissed because she's messed up in the head.
Granted not all of the villains are fleshed out. The American team is kind of neutral but could be antagonists if Azuma's sister comes into play. Also makes me curious what role she'll play because they have a full team already. Is she a side orchestrator, or maybe she's actually the heart and not Epizo.
The Russian team isn't really good villains. The brother is just a straight up dickhead. Maybe they'll get more interesting because that one sister is being swayed a bit, but as of now they're lame. And the girl in wheelchair/UK team hasn't been shown yet, so we'll see there.
We also need to see what happens with Reoko's team after how fucked they were at the end there.
