Surprising list imo. Thought the list would be dominated by tokyo ghoul and opm, but I just remember that the weekly new york times list doesn't represent all of US. Snk still going strong! Especially the almighty volume 1!
NY Times does represent the whole country, the reason why the chart doesn't reflect what actually sells the most units is because it's what is being bought the most at one moment.
Most of the chart you posted consists of volume 1s of series that released very long ago, people are buying those slowly but steadily so they don't have enough volumes sold at once to chart, with the exception being Tokyo Ghoul and Attack on Titan as they are just that popular.

Really? I thought persona 4 was popular in japan, at least the games. Not final fantasy or dq level but decent. I wouldn't be surprised if persona made the list here because they are hyped for P5
I didn't even know p4 had manga... I thought you meant that but I wasn't sure, my english is not very good and sometimes it's hard to tell if people are joking or not :c

No, it was a joke implying that Persona 4 doesn't even sell well in Japan so it's funny it sold well in America.

The shipping bastards even steal the cards and with people buying in bulk for the cards it has stock and ordering issues in some places.
Keep going <3

so now we just pray that Punpun charts in next week's edition, I'm doubtful though, and if it doesn't I'm gonna blame myself because I didn't buy it yet, probably will later down the line once more volumes come out though, I just don't have much money right now and I already read it once.
atleast we know we are going to get a finished product

This is because YGO Manga has a card in their comic, and in this volume the card is incridibly important~ #byYGOPlayer
That's been a pretty well known fact ever since GX started publishing in the states, I don't think they started doing it until then. They still do it with US Shonen Jump subscriptions too if I'm correct. It's a dirty, but effective strategy.
