Cast and Staff of 'Kurage no Shokudou' OVA Announced

The official website of the upcoming direct-to-video Kurage no Shokudou anime has revealed a preview with the staff and cast members of the work. The OVA adapts the 2014 light novel written by Miyako Aoyama and illustrated by Zhao Yingle.

Kurage no Shokudou is the third anime project initiated by editors of the Kodansha BOX publishing line. Previous animated works are Arve Rezzle: Kikaijikake no Yousei-tachi (2013) and Mitsuwano (2014). The light novel is the winner of the 19th Rookie Award given by BOX-AiR, the publishing line's e-magazine.

Kurage no Shokudou will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 9, 2016.

Synopsis
As a high school student, I ran out of the house because of what my parents said about my twin brother's suicide. I lost consciousness at the beach, and the person who saved me was the young man who works at the restaurant there, Arashi. I lied to him that I lost my memory when he asked my name. Thus begins a strange life of living together at Jellyfish Restaurant one summer.

I like the serene atmosphere in the PV. Jellyfish restaurant sounds cool too. I was surprised to see this already on my PTW lol. I'll be looking forward to this.

I saw the Hana no Uta in the parenthesis and thought the same as well.

Was meant to come out a year ago but better late than never (or maybe when they said Spring last year they meant this Spring :P).

Staff is pretty new but I see good things happening here, Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta was the perfect example of how even random talent from all over the place can make things work, this seems extremely high quality too. High hopes.

By the synopsis, this sounds like a slice of life; getting the same feeling from the PV. Everything is rather warm and calm; probably bc the blue color dominates. Will watch.

Too bad that it's only an OVA. Would've loved to see a full anime adaptation (though I don't know if there's actually enough material).

Looks like they're finally going to debut this after the original announcement almost two years ago. (Around May or something in 2014 from what I remember)

I kinda like that music in the PV.
