Nah, It would be just fine. (That huge book was just a comic strip.)
The manga was long because every move was illustrated.
On anime it would be just a few seconds.

There are plenty scenes to skip though. They can do it. The length of chapters is probably hardly a problem. It's A-1's job to choose which scene to skip or to focus on.

as expected. still doubtful on how the pacing of the anime will go.
40 manga chapters into 12 episodes. easy job
Each chapter of the manga is more than 40 pages

So wait, I haven't finished the manga. Will the anime just adapt all of the manga? or just finish at a halfway point?

It's been confirmed the anime would have the same ending as the manga and now here we know the manga will end before the anime does. So yes, the anime will follow the full story of the manga.

Except that they're only on chapter 12 by episode 4.
I take that a sign that its about time to try the manga and not to be surprise if the anime taken the worst route of not extending the number of episodes even it will make the story inconsistent.

They'll probably do the same thing as they did in episode 1 at some point. And there are plenty scenes to skip.

Always happy to see a complete adaptation. Wrapping things up is really important.

Wth? I read the raws and it's clearly not finished T^T
I agree that it feels "incomplete", there are some questions still unanswered even though the manga is near you know what. And be prepared, this is going to be an assault on feelings, happy or not happy.
