The TV anime adaptation of light novel Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin (Alderamin on the Sky) announced its cast today.

Igsem Yatorishino: Risa Taneda (Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri)
Shamiyu Kitora Katovanmaninik: Inori Minase (Comet Lucifer)
Remion Torway: Ryousuke Kanemoto (Diamond no Ace)
Matthew Tetojirichi: Junji Majima (Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou)
Becker Harouma: Haruka Chisuga (Akatsuki no Yona)

Synopsis
At war with the adjacent Kioka Republic, the Katjvarna Empire. In that region, due to certain circumstances, there was a certain youth unwillingly preparing to take the High Grade Military Officer Exam. His name: Ikuta. Disliker of war, lazy, admirer of women. No one predicted that that kind of Ikuta would later on become a soldier referred to even as a great commander... He who survived a world embroiled in war with his superior genius, Ikuta. Illustrating his dynamic, dramatic life, a splendid fantasy military history, the curtain is raised at last! (Source: Baka-Tsuki, edited)

The series adapts the light novel of the same name written by Bokuto Uno and illustrated by Sanbasou and Ryuutetsu. It currently has eight volumes in print, with the latest volume released on October 10. The series also placed third for "most popular light novels" according to a reader's poll from the annual light novel rankings for 2016 in the "Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!" ("This Light Novel is Amazing!") guide book.

That would probably be the only worthwhile thing from this anime.... It has 50-75% chance of not being good...

I like the looks of the cast, just still bummed out about the art style they are using. I hope that it's two-cour.

^That's the illustration from the second LN illustrator. I'm personally not a fan of those ones as he made them look too young. He corrected later.

The synopsis looks ok but that art looks dated and not as good as the LN cover art.

That's close of her manga design I think. But yes, the 2 designs (since there is two different illustrators in the LN) from the LN are far superior to the manga/anime chara design for yatori.

Is that Yatori's design for the anime? If so, that's absolutely atrocious. Her design in the LN is better in every single way.
It kinda makes me not look forward to the adaptation, even if Risa Taneda is voicing her. Only time will tell I guess. The series is okay, nothing special or amazing though, but it's better than most LNs at least.

there's no ecchi in that work and no romance between that character and the mc though, so the similarities stop there. So I didn't know there was such a template for a military genre anime.

Contrary to LOGH which is a complete failure on this point, Alderamin has actually decent+ tacticians and smart tactics all along, and fully deserves its" military" genre (at least in the LN). I'm not sure LOGH fans will like it, it's very different. Although Ikuta reminds a lot of a younger Yang Wenli in his initial setting, so who knows.

Cast is pretty spot on I'd say.
Not really looking forward to this but I'll probably watch it unless it looks awful.
Read the first volume of it and eh, really didn't engage me at all, annoying princess character too.
Characters, setting and premise were pretty unique but I felt pretty disconnected so didn't care much for any of it.

-Ohhh that's otonashi Io/obi/Accelerator/Loga Bete 's seiyuu for ikta, this is quite different from what I imagined but I like his voice acting so that's fine.

-Yatori is Riveria's seiyuu, this fits somehow.
-Chamille is Hestia's seiyuu, she had a good performance with that role, hope she does good with Chamille since she's a very important and interesting character across the story. I wasn't as impressed with her in gakkou gurashi, although she was still pretty fine.

-I don't know torwei's seiyuu at all. That's also the first one in the list who wasn't part of the Danmachi cast lol.

-Matthew's seiyuu is nice, that's Prince Forsis/Ryuuji 's seiyuu. Good, I like Matthew, although I'm not sure the anime will go far enough to really develop him. Another member of Danmachi's cast btw.

- I don't know Haroma's seiyuu at all. Haven't seen any of her roles I think.

No big names but a good list of name overall. Good. Lets just hope that the fact the Danmachicast is really present isn't a bad omen for the anime, as in let's hope the studio won't rush/twist it like it was the case for danmachi.
