'Gantz' to Receive 3DCG Film in 2016

The December issue of Miracle Jump magazine, to be released on November 17, is revealing that Gantz will receive a 3DCG film slated for 2016. More information will be announced at a later time.

Gantz is drawn by Hiroya Oku and began serialization in Young Jump in July 2000. The series finished in June 2013 with 37 volumes. The manga was adapted into two cours by studio Gonzo in 2004. In addition to the anime adaptation, the series received two live-action adaptations in 2011.

3DCG?!? Whyyyyy? I really hoped for a proper remake of the series in form of another series, not movies and certainly not CG, now they're gonna ruin this one, like they ruined Berserk and keep ruining it with that f*cking CGI........ Who pays to watch that crap of an art and animation........ Man, I'm so pissed...

I don't think this will turn out well. It would be amazing if they re-adapted the manga into a much more loyal anime to the manga :/

So is 3DCG or japanese budget 3DCG supposedly cheaper? I mean a movie it's gonna have a bigger budget and it's not like the characters look intricate enough to warrant it. C'mon anime is evolving but lets not turn into the haggis of disney now.

Bubuki's CG action scenes look kinda cool so I'm not hating.

Sht that means only 20 percent will be watchable and only a small percentage of those I'll actually want to watch. So much for new anime. I guess its time to not look at the future and keep watching stuff from the past till I run out.

I watched the first adaptation and i swear to god there was so much cgi in that that i think it became a trend when adapting gantz anything. Yeah its meant for cgi, But i don't like cgi...

The production of 3D CG will increase in the future for sure, but 2D will still be present.

A Gantz Movie with Captain Harlock or Saint Seiya Legend of Sanctuary type and level of 3D CG will be godly!
Now we just need to know who is doing this movie and what 3D Style they are going for. More realistic or more cartoon like.
