During Sunrise's panel at New York Comic Con, it was announced that Tiger and Bunny will receive a live-action adaptation.

Brian Grazer and Ron Howard (Imagine Entertainment) have partnered with Sandy Climan and Annmarie Bailey (All Nippon Entertainment Works), and Masayuki Ozaki (Bandai Namco Pictures) to produce the film. Imagine Entertainment's president Erica Huggins will oversee the new film. The director and screenwriter have yet to be announced.

"During the deal talks, our chief focus was to ensure continuing involvement by the original creators to maintain quality and flexibility which would allow the original work to continue," said Ozaki.

Tiger & Bunny is an original anime by Sunrise that aired in 2011. Satou Keiichi (The Big O, Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis) directed the anime. It also received two anime movies.

A superhero live-action movie is not a terrible idea with Hollywood budgeting. Eden of Tomorrow adapted All You Need is Kill well recentishly, so there's hope.

...BUT WHERE THE FUCK IS THE THIRD ANIME MOVIE/A CONCLUSION TO THE ANIME?

Honestly, I think this is a good idea.

Hollywood does well with superhero concepts, and Tiger and Bunny has a great one. Hollywood did well with Edge of Tomorrow, which was more of a very loose adaptation of All You Need is Kill if anything. If they can do with Tiger and Bunny what they did with All You Need is Kill, it should be fine.

but I don't like Pepsi...

If we see a re-imagining in the same sense as All You Need is Kill this could actually be pretty good. But I feel a big reason for this series in particular being used is the current superhero trend, so its also possible that this is being done just because it is something that hasn't been done yet, meaning there might not be very much effort put forth.

I am excited, yet very concerned.

All You Need is Kill was quite good, with non-cg mech suites & the plot.

T&B might work if they focus on comedy & campiness, like a long ad for sponsors, but it's tough to pull off.

Attack on Titan 1 was pretty ok as a sidestory for the campiness.

Heard about this the other day. Not sure if I should feel excited or terrified this will end up like crap. I'd prefer season 2 but for now let's wait and see

lol, I honestly don't know how to feel about this.
If they get good scriptwriters they might be able to do this. MAYBE.

This has potential to be great. The next big "meta" thing considering meta tongue-in-cheek superhero films like Kick-ass, Chronicle or Birdman have been very well received.

Hoping they don't fuck up.

Has there ever been a good anime live action holywood movie? O.o
(Not counting Pasific Rim)

Anime was already quite corny and if you run it through Hollywood shit machine... it just screams failure.

Holy shit, that was unexpected O_o

Yeah, because Dragonball Evolution, Speed Racer, and the predevelopment Hell that was supposed to be the Akira movie were such rousing success, why not make an attempt with THIS flash-in-the-pan endeavor? Best case scenario, it will be as quickly forgotten as Final Fantasy Spirits Within.

Meh, I was hoping for another season rather than a live action film. Most likely will not be watching unless I read some good reviews about it.
